Beauty Tips for Busy Moms

Beauty tips for busy moms

Changing your baby’s diapers, feeding him and lulling him to sleep are all part of your daily duties as a mom. Let us not forget about the sleepless nights!

While chasing your older children around is more of a laughable struggle, it is still very tiring.

Moms want to raise their little ones to become the best that they can be in every imaginable way, which is why being a mom has been described as one of the most difficult jobs on earth.

The hoopla associated with motherhood is not exactly glamorous. Because your priorities understandably lie with your children, looking irresistibly attractive may not be hot on your to-do list.

But even moms deserve to look good. This spring should be about coming out of those frumpy mommy clothes and unleashing the hot momma within you.

Since moms don’t usually have a lot of time on their hands — whether you are a mom working in the home or the workplace – we’ve put together quick and easy to follow tips, well suited for your busy schedules.

Tip #1: Green tea eye treatment

Not getting enough sleep may create dark, puffy or saggy skin under your eyes. This can make you look much older than you really are. Luckily, the green tea treatment is a low-cost and natural remedy with plenty of antioxidants which your eyes can absorb. Green tea tightens the blood vessels to help mitigate swelling around the eyes.

Simply use two teabags to make a single cup of green tea. Allow the bags to cool. Let the teabags slightly dehydrate so that they are not dripping wet or too dry. Once that is completed, rest the two teabags onto your eyes for about 10 minutes. Since you may be allergic to one or more of green tea’s components – we recommend a skin patch test before treatments.

Tip #2: Invest in a Mascara and Long Lasting Lip gloss

Longer lashes can make you look younger and less tired. The look of longer and thicker lashes can also make you ‘feel’ prettier which will help you feel more confident. Avoid clumps – use the lash brush to carefully distinguish the lashes. Lip gloss will colour your lips to make you feel younger and brighter. This will help you glow even if you are exhausted. Essentially, we are taking it a step further, moving you away from your usually bare eyes and lip ice. Both mascara and lip gloss can easily be slipped into your handbag requiring little effort to apply.

Tip #3: Drink lots of water

There are many reasons why drinking water is good for you. Keep a bottle of water around you to keep your body hydrated at all times. Being hydrated will increase your energy levels. This will brighten your eyes and will help your skin glow! You also get to flush out toxins from your body which means extra body cleansing. Water is yet another natural remedy to make you look and feel like the beautiful mom that you are. Most importantly, drinking enough water will also mean a healthier you.

Tip #4: Conceal the puffy eyes and dark circles

Although natural treatments are available for puffy eyes and dark circles, this one is visibly instant and highly effective. Busy moms can delight in a quick fix. A concealer will help you look more awake and younger. You’ll look more put-together as we understand that your motherly duties may leave you feeling rather sluggish. All you need to do is take a trip to the make-up department to find your perfect concealer match. Be warned, some concealer’s can make the applied area look dry compared to the rest of your face. Hence, use a small amount of a lightweight, emollient-based concealer. Only a small amount is needed to cover the dark areas.

Tips #5: Moisturise with olive oil

Who would have thought that cooking ingredients could be used for beauty treatments? Olive oil can make you look younger in the long-run. Before stepping into the shower, rub a little bit of olive oil onto your face. The steam from the shower will absorb the oil. This process will help your skin feel as smooth as your baby’s bum. You’ll only need about half to one drop of oil to apply on your face. This moisturising regimen is also great for moisturising the rest of your body. In this case, use about half a teaspoon of oil. The best part about this beauty regiment is that it already forms part of your daily showering routine.

Moms, we understand that time is of the essence. That is why these tips are carefully aligned with your daily mommy schedule. From a natural and inexpensive treatment to a concealer for an instant fix, you can lessen the ‘I didn’t sleep much last night!’ look. Feel younger and boost your facial glow by drinking enough water and moisturising with olive oil. After this, gloss up your lips and enhance your eyelashes.  You deserve to look beautiful.
