smart shopper card

Postby gaynorm » 25 Jul 2012 11:45

has anyone ever used the points they got on the smart shoppers card. I saw yesterday i got roughly about R500 on it.

someone told me that its not actually cash you getting back like what you get with Dischem and Clicks. but its for example R200 of discount vouchers off only certain foods. Is this true?

Havent used my points yet but from what I understand, the money that you accumulate can be used to pay off your bill, like cash.

Its the vouchers that you print out, that you can use for certain foods....those just give you bonus points.

You can purchase items from Pick n Pay for that amount. You just need to redeem it first at the machine, before presenting at the till with your grocery.

I don't know if it expires, I know of someone who has accumulated over R3000.00 on her card sofar.

But yes, you just convert your points to cash and then you can swipe your card for that amount on anything you purchase instore.

Remember to swipe your card at the machine each time you go to pick n pay, you get better and more valuable vouchers the more you swipe it, and you can print your vouchers to get discount or to earn extra points.

I'm saving up mine for some nice luxuries over Christmas. But if things get tight the I think I'll use it if needed.
