Corn Bread

 

Ingredients
500ml green mielies (whole kernel canned corn or sweetcorn can be substituted)
500ml all purpose flour
30ml sugar
20ml baking powder
5ml salt
cold water

Instructions
1) Grind the corn using a mortar and pestle or the griding blade of a blender.
2) Mix all the ingredients together and add enough water to form a stiff dough.
3) Set aside for 10 minutes
4) Place the mixture in a greased loaf pan and steam for about 1 ½ hours.
