4 cups water
3 crushed garlic cloves
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups long-grain rice
2 teaspoons salt
1) Saute garlic cloves in hot oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat for 3 minutes.
2) Add rice, and saute for 1 minute.
3) Stir in 4 cups water and salt; bring to a boil.
4) Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for30 minutes. Do not uncover rice until time is up.
5) Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
6) Fluff with fork.
